When you buy fresh, quality, local meat from Dales Traditional Butchers Ltd, it is packed using special cooling packaging to ensure it arrives in perfect order.
- Once we have chosen, prepared and weighed your meat, it is bagged, wrapped and labelled.
- The order is put inside a polystyerene box and covered with freezer blankets to keep it cold, ready for delivery
- The box is security-tape sealed and labelled with your address.
- For national deliveries, our couriers collect your order and deliver it the next day - meanwhile the freezer blankets in your box will keep the food chilled for 48 hours
Freezer blankets are a rectangular sheet made up of separate cells, containing a special frozen gel. The freezer blankets can stay frozen for days, it does not melt and is non-toxic.
How much does delivery cost?
Unless otherwise stated in the product listing, we charge to cover the cost of packing and delivery; this cost is calculated for you automatically and you will see the full price before placing your online order.
National deliveries cost £10
Unless otherwise stated in the product listing, we charge a simple flat rate for delivering any order anywhere in the UK - £10. This is added to the cost of your order. We are able to offer delivery to all addresses in England, Wales, and the Scottish mainland from Aberdeen southwards. We regret that delivery costs are prohibitively high in other areas, and hence we cannot deliver elsewhere.
Local deliveries are free
Customers in postcode area LA6 only are delivered to by our own refrigerated van.
You can choose to place an order to collect from our shop in Kirkby Lonsdale the next day or at a later date free of charge. If you do this you will see that our online store prices are just the same as in our shop.
What about international deliveries?
We do not deliver to international addresses at this time.
When will my delivery arrive?
You will be notified by email when your order has been dispatched and you should receive your order the next working day.

Our couriers cannot delivery on Saturday, Sunday or Monday.
If however you are unhappy with your order please notify us within 24 hours of receiving it and we will endeavour to resolve the matter.
